Core Resources is a mineral processing technology and innovation company, based in Brisbane and is an excellent example of an innovative METS company marketing Australian technology worldwide. On this tour you will travel to Albion and visit Core’s facilities where you will have a brief induction followed by a short presentation on Core and the services it provides to the METS industry. Delegates will then proceed with a site tour of Core’s comprehensively equipped metallurgical, pilot plant and analytical laboratory.
Julius Kruttschnitt Mineral Research Centre (JKMRC)
With an outstanding international reputation as an innovator in mining and mineral processing research, the SMI-JKMRC is noted for the widespread use of its research outcomes by industry. It is the largest Australian research centre in this field and collaborates with major mining and mineral processing research groups worldwide. The SMI-JKMRC is located at The University of Queensland Experimental Mine in the Brisbane suburb of Indooroopilly, seven kilometres from the main University campus at St Lucia. As well as undertaking research activities at the JKMRC, work is also carried out at mine sites, processing plants and research facilities throughout the world. The SMI-JKMRC pilot plant contains a suite of standard and custom-built mineral processing equipment, including SMI-JKMRC developed innovative ore characterisation equipment which are now utilised worldwide. A large range of testing capabilities to cover pre-concentration, comminution, separation and geometallurgy are available for our research programs. Our facilities are also include mineral characterisation facility, workshop and instrument laboratory.

Business managers and project engineers will also take attendees through the company’s main equipment manufacturing hall and discuss the practical process driven design strategies that Mineral Technologies takes into its new processing plant designs.
Lunch will be provided on the tour and delegates will be collected and dropped off at Rydges South Bank, Brisbane.Back
